What Should You Do If You Were Impacted by the Breach?

Several steps should be taken if you were potentially impacted by the breach. While the details of impacted people have not been released yet, if you suspect your data may be at risk, here are a few steps you can take to reduce your risk of becoming a further victim:

  1. Freeze your credit with the main credit bureaus
  2. Be aware of future scams, including phishing attempts, phone calls, and text messages that will come as a result of this breach
  3. Most experts agree that over 90% of scams can be avoided if you take at least 10 minutes before taking any action resulting from an email, text message, or phone call. Take your time, there is no rush to follow instructions in almost all cases.
